Pressing the Reset Button
Wow. Who would have thought it. Have it set up / exercise system in place / food in the refrigerator / going to it for a solid month. The switch got flipped and the lights went out. I've been there and done that before...and I am farther along this time than ever before in my life. I'll be restarting Insanity from the beginning on Sunday. I am determined to make it happen. I have visualized my goals and put them on my Action Board. I will make it Awesome!

What Slows me Down Won't Stop Me
Bummer. Even doctors get sick. This week has been SLOW...hard to do Insanity and be sick. So had to break for a few days and take care of myself. At least I 'listen' and get rest and drink fluids and recuperate. Spent time instead building some Fitness Calculator pages for everyone to enjoy. See you next week...I'm better but not there yet.

What happens between the Before and After Pictures?
We've all seen the dramatic changes...on YouTube, on Team Beachbody..the dramatic WOW we all say. I must say, there is a tremendous amount of persistence and sweat between those pictures. It looks easy, but a fitness transformation is not easy. Yet, it's been fun...the little changes, like "I didn't know I could do the Insanity workout and almost keep up", my pants are a little more 'fitting'.... I've been almost child-like discovering little things. It peaks my curiosity about tomorrow's 'little thing'! I started the 'Max' Insanity today...even Shaun T couldn't keep up sometimes...so I'm doing ok at the level I am. 'After'......here I come.

Are your Bathroom Scales Lying to You?
Wow. I stepped on the scales and lost TWO pounds for the month. There was a twinge of disappointment and then, my percentage body fat dropped from 38% to 34% in the first month. I got really excited, so I put all the math on a new page, 'How to be Smarter than Your Bathroom Scales.' Really there was a 20.48 pound shift over the month with less fat and more muscle! I'll going next month, too. Beachbody Insanity and Shaun T are doing it for me!

Persistence Pays Off...
One week left for a whole month...and I haven't been perfect. I have missed days and not eaten well some days. I am still in the saddle riding this horse! Fitness Transformation is just that...slow and steady. No movie gimmicks will speed it up! I don't have to 'think' as much when I try to keep up with Shaun T. Coming from a very negative momentum, I truly believe the tide is shifting toward neutral now. Like Nike...

Thank goodness today reminds me that I am Loved and Forgiven. This week was the pits! I suppose I can use lack of time as an excuse, but really it was about priorities....I chose to 'play more' than take really good care of me...
I did a short weekly review and this week re-set my priorities and will take small better-disciplined steps to exercise every morning and eat when I am supposed to get nutrition, not 'food'....

Truck Push Ups...Made it Past Week One!
When you are totally out of shape, you modify. I sure am not going to risk an injury, so instead of real push ups, I modified and have done truck push ups! As I get better, I will go to bent knee and then real ones! Given the soreness of this week, I will get there! The good news is I feel like there is no 'pressure' for this Fitness Transformation...just a work in progress!
My eating left a lot to be desired this week...I have spent time looking at my times to eat and amounts and will post a plan soon. I like Beachbody's nutrition. I did start Shakeology from Beachbody a couple of times this week. I will try to increase it to daily.

I chose Beachbody's Insanity because I wanted a real
work out! I couldn't even do it....but I moved the whole time. I am
gong to modify Shaun T's moves until I can do them. I will not strain /
over-work myself...but this looks promising! I think persistence and
growth every day will hold promises! I think I am going to be sore!
Yes, I somewhat ate better, too.

Getting Ready to Go Day...
I guess I get to start from where I start! I have my Inspiration Roadmap in place. It's important to be honest where I am starting from, but more important is where I am going...and enjoy the journey along the way!
Here is where I am today:
Blood Pressure 150/90 (I know, I know, that is WAY too high and I promise to be careful. I'll bet my journey fixes it, too!)
Rest of my labs are normal with normal blood sugar.
Work out history? Sporadic at best and have never played sports! This fitness transformation will be a true transformation!
And, by the way, I am hopelessly addicted to Diet Coke...out all the changes, for some reason stopping them scares me the most. (but that sounds like a Thinking Error, doesn't it?) I believe I have experienced too many caffeine withdrawal headaches! Guess I will wean them to NONE!
